How should I prepare for a waxing appointment?

Ensure the hair is at least 1/4 inch long. Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and exfoliating treatments 24 hours before your appointment. Do not apply lotions, oils, or creams to the area to be waxed on the day of your appointment.

To prevent irritation avoid sun exposure, hot baths or hot showers, and tight clothing for 24 hours.

Avoid exfoliating, skin treatments, and swimming pools for 48 hours.

Use a gentle moisturizer to soothe the skin.

Are there any side effects?

Bruising may occur, especially in sensitive areas or if you have delicate skin.
