Pre-Treatment Advice
Preparing for Your Natural Rejuvenation Journey
To ensure the best possible results and a smooth experience, we recommend following the guidelines below in the days leading up to your PRP treatment:
✅ 7 Days Before Treatment
- Avoid blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), unless medically necessary. These can increase the risk of bruising.
- Avoid alcohol and smoking, as both can impair healing and reduce treatment effectiveness.
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water — this helps with blood draw and overall skin health.
- Minimise sun exposure and avoid tanning beds. Sunburned or irritated skin cannot be treated.
- Discontinue retinoids or active skin products (like glycolic acid, AHA/BHA) in the treatment area to prevent sensitivity.
✅ 2–3 Days Before Treatment
- Avoid supplements that may thin the blood or increase bruising, such as fish oil, vitamin E, garlic, ginkgo biloba, or turmeric.
- Refrain from waxing, tweezing, or using depilatory creams in the treatment area.
- Ensure your skin is healthy and free from active breakouts, rashes, or infections.
✅ Day of Treatment
- Eat a light meal and stay well-hydrated before your appointment.
- Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin if the treatment area is the face.
- Wear comfortable clothing, especially if PRP will be applied to the scalp or other body areas.
- Plan for downtime if needed — while there’s minimal recovery, some redness or swelling is normal.
Treatment Time
Throughout the treatment, your comfort is our priority.
A small blood sample will be gently drawn from your arm and processed in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
To ensure a comfortable experience, a topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure begins.
The concentrated PRP is then carefully injected into the targeted areas using fine needles, promoting natural healing and skin rejuvenation.
Aftercare
It is important to keep your skin well hydrated after the PRP procedure.
Aftercare Advice
Support Your Skin’s Natural Healing Process
To ensure the best possible outcome from your PRP treatment, please follow the aftercare guidelines below carefully. These recommendations will help minimise any side effects and support your skin’s natural regeneration process.
✅ Immediately After Treatment
- Mild redness, swelling, or tenderness in the treated area is normal and typically subsides within 24–48 hours.
- You may also experience slight bruising or pinpoint bleeding, especially if PRP was injected. This is temporary.
- Do not touch or rub the treated area for at least 6 hours post-procedure. Allow your skin to absorb the PRP naturally.
✅ 24 Hours Post-Treatment
- Avoid washing the treated area for the first 12–24 hours. After that, cleanse gently with lukewarm water and a mild, non-active cleanser.
- Avoid makeup, sunscreen, or skincare products on the treated area for 24 hours unless advised otherwise.
- Stay hydrated — drink plenty of water to support skin recovery.
✅ For the First 48–72 Hours
- Avoid direct sun exposure, heat, and sweating, including saunas, hot baths, steam rooms, and intense exercise.
- Do not consume alcohol or smoke, as this may delay healing and reduce the effectiveness of your treatment.
- Avoid anti-inflammatory medications (e.g. ibuprofen, aspirin) unless prescribed by your doctor, as they can interfere with the natural healing response.
✅ Ongoing Aftercare
- Use a broad-spectrum SPF daily once you resume skincare (after 24 hours). PRP-treated skin is more sensitive to UV exposure.
- Avoid exfoliating acids (e.g. AHA/BHA), retinol, or strong active ingredients for at least 5–7 days.
- For scalp PRP, avoid shampooing for 24–48 hours and use a gentle, sulphate-free shampoo thereafter.
If required, schedule your next PRP appointment.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatment is a natural, non-surgical procedure that uses concentrated platelets from your own blood to accelerate healing, boost collagen production, and improve skin and hair health.
How does PRP work?
A small amount of your blood is drawn and processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelets. These platelets, rich in growth factors, are then injected into targeted areas to stimulate cell regeneration and tissue repair.
What conditions can PRP treat?
PRP is widely used for:

- Hair restoration (stimulating hair growth for thinning or receding hair)
- Joint pain relief (treating conditions like osteoarthritis)
- Wound healing (accelerating tissue repair and recovery)
Is PRP treatment safe?
What happens during a PRP session?
- A small blood sample is drawn from your arm.

- The PRP is injected into the targeted area using fine needles.
How long does a session take?
A PRP treatment typically takes 45 to 60 minutes, including preparation and recovery time.
